I'm not any expert in grammar but it's at least pretty confusing if not a mistake.

5th joke is good though

They - another political corectness nonsense

Normal people understand that the male gender includes the female and vice versa where appropriate. People unable to grasp this simple concept insist on having he/she everywhere. People who understand that this is stupid, but are scared of the PC police, use "they". You are right in thinking it's a nonsense, but so is the whole PC business.

You must have really searched far and wide

to find someboday whose English is even worse than the Czech the idnes journalists use.
