The words scream and dream are used in many expressions in the English language. Let’s review a few of them. In English, the word scream means to yell really loudly. It is very rare, when a person screams, that you cannot hear them.

Examples: "Martina screamed when she saw that mouse, it scared her" or "She screamed at the top of her lungs in pain when she cut herself accidentally while cooking."

Scream Again
The word scream also has another definition in English, and it means that "it" was fun. Examples:

"That new movie is a real scream, I enjoyed it very much" or "The trip on the boat was a real scream, we had a great time."

Scream for Attention
In English, when someone or something "screams for attention," it means that the person (or it) either wants or demands it. Examples:

"That new software is so hard to use, it is screaming for a good user manual in order to understand it" or "That drawing screams for attention, there are too many mistakes and they need to be fixed."

Scream Queen
A "scream queen" is someone who complains all of the time, usually very loudly and over the smallest things or issues. Examples:

"Petra is really a scream queen, we are not going to take her to the movie, she won’t enjoy it" or "Let’s make sure our facts are complete, we don’t want any screaming queens complaining."

Here are the Top Six Reasons people become nurses.

1. Pays better than McDonald’s does, and the hours are much longer.

2. Get to celebrate all of the important holidays - at work!

3. Fashionable white shoes and very sexy dresses.

4. Interesting smells and chemicals to experiment with.

5. You, as a nurse, get to put needles into people, instead of them sticking you with one!
