Just Exactly What Is What Is It?
What Is It? is a program which is designed to (surprise!) tell you what "it" is -- in English of course.
During these past few months, in between Expres Dinners and other such fun things, our team has compiled more than 100,000 various images of objects.
Using what are known as call outs and badges, What Is It? shows you photo imagery, video, drawings or "whatever it takes" to literally tell you what "it" is -- in English.
While the entries for What Is It? contain rich, direct and straightforward content, as with the more than 10,000 expressions we are starting to publish, we’ll continue populating the What Is It? online database until there’s nothing left to describe.
Obviously, this is going to take a while, :-) but it allows us to be here once again Expresially for you and helps us continue to build an interactive platform for English which we can all share.
Jokes: Some Great Southern WisdomHere is some more great wisdom from cowboys: 1. He’s busier than a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest. 2. He is so messed up he would depress the Devil. 3. You’re lyin’ like a no-legged dog! 4. Well shut my mouth. (Note: this is "Southern English" for I am speechless! or I don’t know what to say.) 5. Don’t let your mouth overload your tail. (Note: this is another way of saying Don’t talk too much.) 6. In the southern parts of the United States, every woman’s first name is "honey" or "shugah" or "darlin’" or "hon". |
