As everyone knows, Christmas is almost here. In the spirit of Old Saint Nick, here’s a very cool Internet-based Web site which allows you to go "Elf yourself."

If you go to www.elfyourself.com, (yes, we are not making this up folks!), you’ll see an animation of a dancing elf, which is very well done. The thing that’s cool about elf yourself, is that the image can be of anyone you wish.

Elfing yourself
Elfing yourself is easy. Just follow the simple steps on the screen, and you will have elfed yourself (or someone you know) in no time.

Elfing yourself is simple: first, you load an image of your face (or someone else’s) and then you use the slider on the right to scale it to the size that you want.

With the elf you create, you can preview what it will look like, and use the dots around the bottom of the face to crop the image so that it fits very nicely.

When elfing yourself, you will also see what looks like a mouth, or a pair of lips which are outlined in white. This is a mouth which you can place over your photo, so that when you are elfed, your picture will be able to talk and sing.

If you don’t want to be elfed this way, don’t do anything with the mouth, just ignore it and load your favorite image of a face.

Now your "Elfed"
After you’ve elfed yourself, you can preview your creation by hitting the "Preview" button which should appear on your screen. After a few seconds, your Royal ElfNess will appear and of course sing and dance for you.

When elfing yourself, or others, remember that you can elf up to four people at a time.

Try elfing your boss when she’s not looking. The program also allows you to email others and is free.
