What It Is About Grapes?
Science has documented what it calls "The French Paradox". This is a very real phenomenon in certain areas of France and in the Mediterranean where the typical diet is high in fat and cholesterol thanks to meats such as pork.

Yet despite this fact, the people in these regions do not die of heart attacks.

The reason for this is because they tend to drink a lot of red wine. Red grapes contain special chemicals such as quercetin, proanthocyanidins (OPC) and tannins. These substances help reduce cholesterol and can lower the chance of a heart attack in people by as much as 40%. If you do not want to drink red wine, you can buy capsules which contain the skins of these red grapes. They contain this desired chemicals.

What makes all grapes great, is that they contain what are called natural cell salts. These are substances which act to clean and purify cells and they rid the body of dangerous toxins.

Accordingly, grapes are very good for your liver, whose job is also to help filter out poisons and toxins. Grapes are also good for kidneys, and they are a natural diuretic. This means that by eating grapes, they can help your body get rid of excess water. In fact, people often use grape juice and water in their fasting.

Grapefruit
Although grapefruits are not related to grapes, they are also very good for you. Grapefruits are rich in vitamins A and C, and they contain calcium, phosphorus and postassium. Moreover, grapefruits are also overloaded with bioflavonoids, which are powerful antioxidants that protect your body, especially your circulatory system.

Arthritis and Swelling
If you suffer from poor circulation or occasional arthritis, which is the swelling of the joints in your bones such as on your hands or feet, eating more grapes and including grapefruit in your diet might help ease some of the pain.

Grapes are also good for making your immune system stronger.
