Does Any Life Exist Elsewhere?

  13:22aktualizováno  13:22
One of the most incredible things about being alive during this particular time in history, is that there’s a good chance that science will find undeniable evidence of extraterrestrial (ET) life living outside the Earth within our lifetime.

When this day comes, the human race will change forever. Everything from religions to non-religious people will be affected. The consequences of finding alien life (especially if it turns out to be “intelligent” and has also visited us) cannot be accurately communicated by any words, nor in any language - they are so profound.

Other Worlds
Of course, for alien life to exist as we think we know it (remember, we are only guessing since we have no actual real alien life forms to compare anything to), there must be planets, - and plenty of them. Well, it turns out that there indeed are, it is in fact a genuine “Star Trek” type universe out there.

There are not only plenty of planets, but several have all of the right conditions (so far as we know) to actually have life on the! As of this writing, more than 137 ET planets have been found so far in other solar systems.

The search is only beginning. You can also search for real ETs with your own personal computer. If you go to www.seti.org, you will find free software that actually allows your computer to analyze radio signals which come from outer space.

Hunting for signs of ET
Once analyzed, your computer sends the results to SETI, (the official Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) program to see if it is artificial, which would mean an advanced civilization had to send it.

The idea behind SETI is very easy. it is in fact, basic physics. SETI “listens” (literally) to the noise and signals of the universe. It can separate artificial signals from natural ones.

Believe it or not, my iMac personal computer processes SETI data in the background all the time, it’s one of millions of computers throughout our plant that are busy hunting for signs of ET.

Who knows, you could really be the first person to actually detect an alien signal, this is no exaggeration. If that happens, you’ll be glad SETI exists, and so will ET.

Joke of the Day

U.S. President George W. Bush was visiting the Czech Republic to see Czech President Vaclav Klaus.

While having coffee and discussing economics, President Bush suddenly asks President Klaus what his idea of leadership is.

Always sure of his position on important matters, President Klaus smiles gently after hearing President Bush’s question, and offers to demonstrate his ideas of leadership.

“The key to being a great President,” said Klaus to Bush, “is that you must lead, and you must surround yourself with the right people. They must know their place, and their duties. Here, let me show you.”

At this point President Klaus reaches over to his desk and presses a single button. Instantly, an assistant comes rushing in.

“Pavel, who is the President of this great country?” President Klaus asks the assistant who just entered.

“Why, you are, Sir!” replied Pavel.

“You’re right, Pavel. That will be all,” Klaus said as he turned to President Bush, smiling.

“I see,” said President Bush.

One week later, U.S. President George Bush is sitting back in the White House. Still fascinated by what President Klaus did, he picks up the phone and calls Vice-President Dick Cheney, a man who always tells President Bush the truth.

“Dick,” says Bush. “Who is the President of this great country?”

“Why, that’s easy Mr. President. You are the President of this great country.

“No!” President Bush suddenly screamed. “It’s Vaclav Klaus!”
