"3. Age doesn't always bring wisdom. Sometimes, age comes by itself without a partner."
"The older I grow the more I distrust the familiar doctrine that age brings wisdom." ~ H. L. Mencken
All children have that sweet girlish look at that age. That's a picture of Kal (or his legitimate son), the resemblance is striking. Come to think of it, old Kal never did lose that girly-man look, did he? Don't feel bad, Kal, neither did Arnie.
.... "The two men in the Czech pub were trading cut downs ..."
I have never heard that expression. Trading put downs, barbs, insults, yes! But "cut downs"? Never ever heard that one before. But then, I don't frequent Czech pubs. My fault, I guess!
On this website there's a photo of a man gently entering middle age. However, when I picked up the Expres in the Metro station in Prague ... the colomn has a photo of a nine year old child (who incidently muses over his thoughts on Americans he's encountered in the last seven years).
Kal as a boy? His son? WHY???
