If anyone here plans to write a Kal Korff biography, I think this James Thurber quote could be a very apt ending:

"Then, with that faint fleeting smile playing about his lips, he faced the firing squad; erect and motionless, proud and disdainful, Kal Korff, the undefeated, inscrutable to the last."  

Of course, I replaced Walter Mitty with Kal.
