Hi Kal ... me again .... Re your discussion regarding the black population of America ... there's a bit of history with that monikere that perhaps Czechs may be interested in. ..... Americans used to call black folks "negros" until about the 1960's.

Then it was the black population that requested that they be called "black", so it was done. .... Then a few decades later they requested that they be referred to as "Afro-Americans"... again done.

At this moment even this term is embroiled in a bit of controversy with the entry onto the political scene of Barak Obama. He is not a descendant of slaves & evidently many in the Afro-American community feel that this is a name reserved only for descendants of slaves from West Africa.

So my advice to you for keeping everyone happy, if visiting America, is just not to mention race at all ... you'll probably get it wrong.

If you need to ... just refer to "the guy in the blue shirt" .

Another missive from the land of English.  ........ The word "toe" does not only refer to your "palec". In English ALL of the appendages hanging off the end of your foot are "toes". The "palec" is called the "big toe". 

The only other of the five that sports it's very own name is the "little toe" (guess which one that is..) 

Also ... if you want to sound like you were born English speaking ... they (all five of them ) are referred to as your "piggies". 

Tomorrow we can go over fingers ... they all have their own names ... such an important group!
